On 1 September 2025, the North London Collegiate School (NLCS) family proudly welcomed its newest campus: NLCS Kobe. This exciting opening marks a significant step in the global growth of NLCS, one of the world’s most respected educational institutions.

Situated in the heart of Japan’s Kansai region, NLCS Kobe brings the values, academic ambition, and traditions of its sister schools in London, Jeju, Dubai, and Singapore to a vibrant new home.

Preparations Behind the Scenes

In the days leading up to the opening, the energy and excitement across campus were unmistakable.

On Thursday 28 August, the founding team was hard at work, putting the final touches in place. From classrooms and signage to warm welcomes and final rehearsals, the entire team came together to ensure every detail was ready for the first wave of families and students.

Founding Families and Staff Celebrate Milestones

Friday 29 August was filled with meaningful moments. In the morning, NLCS Kobe hosted its first-ever student induction. The Official Opening Ceremony

The official Grande Opening Ceremony was held on Sunday 31 August, bringing together staff, partners, and special guests to formally inaugurate the school. Speeches honoured the commitment of the founding team and the powerful educational legacy that NLCS Kobe now joins.
