About NLCS Dubai

The school is part of the Sobha Hartland development, located within Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City, in Dubai, close to the ‘downtown’ area and Burj Khalifa. NLCS Dubai is an IB continuum school, offering the PYP, MYP and IBDP.

In keeping with the NLCS philosophy, the curriculum is aspirational, with a strong focus on love of subject and provides a significant academic challenge. Students sit MYP ‘eAssessments’ at the end of Grade 10 (Year 11) and IB Diploma exams at the end of grade 12 (Year 13). A strong sense of community is a defining element of students’ experience of the school, which is attributable to the ‘vertical’ House system as the framework for pastoral care (a structure largely borrowed from the NLCS Jeju boarding environment).

A message from the principal

There is a tangible buzz of activity and energy throughout each day with students able to pursue their interests and passions, guided by our inspirational team of teachers. The diverse sounds echoing throughout the school, from music playing to students talking and laughing, parents chatting and teachers passionately engaging their classes, are wonderful to hear.

“Despite being relatively ‘young’, NLCS Dubai has already established itself as one of the leading schools in the UAE, attracting families who aspire to top universities for their children.”

NLCS Dubai students participate in an extraordinary range of extra-curricular opportunities, spanning across drama, music, sport, service and much more: over 170 extra-curricular activities take place on a weekly basis.
