North London Collegiate School Jeju is delighted to announce the appointment of Henry Wiggins as the next Principal Designate.
This appointment comes as we prepare to bid farewell to Jamie Monaghan, our current Principal, who will be leaving the school at the end of the academic year to pursue a new professional opportunity. Jamie has provided NLCS Jeju with dedicated and inspirational leadership, and we are sincerely grateful for his commitment to the school’s continued success and development. We wish him the very best in his next chapter.
The selection of Henry Wiggins to lead the school into its next phase is not only a celebration of his professional capabilities, but also a proud moment for NLCS Jeju in recognising the value of nurturing talent from within. His promotion represents an excellent example of career development and the strength of the leadership pipeline within our school.
Henry joined NLCS Jeju as Vice Principal of Staff and School Organisation and also served as the Designated Safeguarding Lead. In these roles, he has demonstrated unwavering dedication to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and high-achieving school culture. His calm, thoughtful leadership style and deep commitment to both pastoral care and academic excellence have made him a respected and valued figure among staff, students and parents alike.
Henry brings with him a wealth of experience and a strong academic background. He holds an MA (Oxon) in Modern History from Trinity College, University of Oxford. Before joining NLCS Jeju, he held senior leadership positions at prestigious UK schools, including Assistant Head (Teaching) at the Royal Grammar School, Guildford, and Deputy Head (Teaching and Education Development) at The Portsmouth Grammar School.
With his combination of strategic vision, proven leadership, and a deep understanding of the NLCS ethos, we are confident that Henry will continue to build on the strong foundations already in place at NLCS Jeju. His appointment marks an exciting new chapter for the school as we continue our commitment to delivering an ambitious, holistic education of the highest quality.
We look forward to working with Henry in his new role and to the continued growth and success of NLCS Jeju under his leadership.
