NLCS Jeju and NLCS Singapore Shine at FOBISIA Battle of the Bands 2025 taking home gold and bronze awards!

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Last week, students from NLCS Jeju and NLCS (Singapore) took to the stage at the FOBISIA Battle of the Bands 2025, an event that brought together 42 schools from across Asia for a thrilling showcase of musical talent, collaboration, and competition.

For NLCS Singapore, their band Ashwake delivered an outstanding performance in the Key Stage 4 category, despite two of its members technically still being in Key Stage 3. Their hard work and dedication earned them a well-deserved spot in the Bronze Category, a remarkable achievement for such a young group. The experience has inspired them to continue pushing their musical boundaries.

Meanwhile, NLCS Jeju’s band APEX made a powerful impression in their debut appearance at the competition. Competing against top talent from 106 schools across 20 countries, they stunned both the judges and audience with their musicality and stage presence, ultimately securing a prestigious Gold Award. This victory marks a significant milestone for NLCS Jeju in their first-ever participation as finalists in the event.

The FOBISIA Battle of the Bands 2025 was not only a platform for competition but also an opportunity for collaboration and camaraderie. As part of the wider NLCS international school group, both NLCS Jeju and NLCS (Singapore) demonstrated the shared values of excellence, creativity, and perseverance, reinforcing the spirit of global connection through music.

A huge congratulations to Ashwake and APEX for their incredible achievements! Their passion and hard work continue to make the NLCS community proud.
